Professional Standards… At the West Shires School our tutors are recognised in their field for their qualifications, knowledge, expertise and experience. All have and still do work as professional therapists for many years and bring to the class room a wealth of knowledge and experience. This goes a long way to providing our students with truly inspiring expert tuition. All the training and assessments are done within a comfortable home where there are also treatment rooms. Students like the comfortable, homely, yet spacious setting with access to the garden in the nice weather and use of the 3 treatment rooms for assessments or private consultations.
All our professional training courses are accredited with leading industry awarding bodies meaning there is a robust and rigorous support system in place at all times. It is extremely important that the potential student researches and is clear about what their training will offer them. The qualifications we offer are recognised by professional bodies and insurance companies, and are governed by the National Occupational Standards that describe a quality in standards, knowledge, skill and effectiveness when applied to the safe and professional delivery of each therapy.
We offer only the best in training – nothing less will do
All our students upon completion of their training on an accredited course will be eligible to join leading Professional Organisations – such as the Association of Refexologists, the Federation of Holistic Therapists, the GMRC - and also will be able to join the register of the government and medically recognised organisation, the CNHC – which is necessary if anyone wants to work within the NHS as a therapist or receive referrals from GP’s etc. Our students will also be able to obtain insurance from ANY reputable insurance company and be able to shop around for the best deals, rather than be forced to insure with a company affiliated to a training school, as is often the case.

If you decide to train in any aspect of complementary medicine or beauty therapy you will discover that your life will change for the better - that your mind will be opened to many great and wonderful ideas and possibilities. There is so much to learn, discover and with it comes a depth of personal enhancement, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
We like to talk and if possible meet our prospective students prior to enrolment, so that you can ask any questions, discuss options and make sure that we are the right training establishment for you. You can email or phone Cheryl Hawkes the School's Administrative Director at any time prior to completing your Registration Form, or she will contact you to afterwards to say hello and have a chat about the course.
Whilst we know that your investment in your training is not something you will regret we do try to make it as easy as possible - so we offer the option of staged payments on all our courses, although we do need the deposit to secure your place.

We also have monthly art classes and a monthly astrology group - just give us a call for more information.
I would definitely recommend West Shires Indian Head Massage course. It may be more expensive than a one day course but it's far more effective and is really the only option if you truly want to learn this massage thoroughly. The staff are informative, friendly and always on hand to help.
