Beauty Courses
We offer a range of Beauty Therapy courses accredited by The Beauty Guild. These courses qualify you to practice,
gain insurance and give you CPD points. All the courses meet the National Occupational Standards of training.
How does it work:
1) Complete our enrolment for which ever course or courses you wish to study, and email it to westshiresch@gmail.com
2) We will ask you to pay the course fee or a deposit.
3) We will enrol you onto the course you wish to study and you will receive an email from the Guild and with this you will have a link to click through to and you will register/login and access the course materials. Please note that you will have to complete the GTi Professional Standards Module before you can start on your theory modules. Please be careful to follow the registration process as this way the Professional Standards course will be free.
4) Once your theory is completed and passed you will be able to come and complete your Practical training aspects of the course with ourselves. When we are happy that you achieved professional competence which may be via an additional session for assessment, we will pass you and you will be able to download your certificate from the BeautyGuild, or you can purchase a hard copy from them for £18. If you choose to upgrade to full membership of the Guild after passing, you will receive your hard copy Certificate free of charge.
Beauty Therapy Tutor Stacey Jones
Stacey has many years experience working as Beauty and Holistic Therapist, and is a highly experienced beautician. She has been shortlisted for the Welsh National Wedding Awards. She is a fully qualfied tutor.
Facial Massage and Skin Care
This course covers the technique for performing a superficial and deep cleanse, tone, steam, extract, massage, mask and moisturisation. It also includes fantastic anatomy and physiology resources with clear diagrams and images. Health and safety guidance is covered as well as skin conditions, skin analysis and advice about different skin types as well as guidance as to which type of product is suitable for use.

Cost: £300
Kit: Training materials are provided on the day, but you will be advised on what products you need for practice.

Eyebrow& Facial Waxing & Eyebrow Tinting
This course covers the techniques to enable you to provide a professional eyebrow & facial waxing & eyebrow tinting treatment. Theory is delivered online with clear diagrams.
The practical element is taught in a full day training session at West Shires. Consultation and contra-indication guidance is covered in the theory element of the course. Photographs and diagrams ensure this course is both engaging and informative to give you the confidence to perform a professional Eyebrow & Facial Waxing & Eyebrow Tinting Treatment.

Lash and Brow Treatments
This course covers the technique for eyebrow shaping, eyelash tinting, eyebrow tinting, the application of strip lashes and the application of flare lashes. It also includes fantastic anatomy & physiology resources with clear diagrams and images. Reception, consultation and aftercare guidance is covered as well as contra-indications to treatment. Photographs and diagrams ensure this course is both engaging and informative to give you the confidence to perform all of these lash and brow treatments.

Waxing
Waxing is an excellent addition to any treatment menu and provides repeat business as it is an essential maintenence option for many clients. The GTi Waxing Course meets the Habia National Occupational Standards and covers the various types of hair removal, anatomy and physiology, skin disorders and diseases, contra-actions and contra-indications, reception, consultation, ventilation, technique, and aftercare.

Manicure
Manicures can be found on nearly every treatment menu, and are often the bread and butter of many businesses. The manicure offers the therapist or technician a whole range of options to suit nearly every client. This course will teach you the essential skills you need to know about offering a professional manicure, and includes a practical training session and assessment.
Entry requirements: GTi Professional Standards
Cost: £200 deposit £80
(If this course is booked together with the Pedicure course there is a discount of £80 - making a joint price of £320 and a joint deposit of £100)

Pedicure
Pedicures are a fantastic way to get new clients into the salon. It is a treatment that is often given as a treat, or is booked to make tired toes look respectable. Once a client has been made to look and feel better, they are much more inclined to repeat the process, and you will hopefully have gained a customer for life. The GTi Pedicure course teaches you how to complete a professional pedicure treatment and includes a practical training and assessment day.

Gel Polish
The GTi Gel Polish course covers how to complete gel polish application and demonstrates the correct removal techniques. The course also covers reception and consultation, contra-indications to treatment and aftercare advice. The course is beautifully written and accompanied by images and diagrams to give you the best possible learning experience.

Make Up
This course covers the application of make-up to the face, eyes and lips as well as how to perform a facial cleanse and apply strip lashes. The course also shows you how to adapt your treatment to suit varying clients’ needs. Resources with clear diagrams and images are included to give you the best possible learning experience. Reception, consultation and aftercare guidance is covered as well as contra-indications to treatment. The course includes online theory as well as a practical training session at a location of your choice, designed to give you the confidence and ability to offer a full make-up treatment.
