Maternity Reflexology

 

The use of specific skills with the client who wishes to become pregnant and who wishes to use Reflexology to help, or the client who is pregnant, is a valuable part of what the Reflexologist can offer.  

 

This workshop is being run by Cheryll Hodgson who has many years experience working in this area.  It is a workshop to give the qualified Reflexologist some extra confidence in this area of work, but it is not a course in Reproflexology - which requires a much longer course of study.  

 

On this workshop we will cover:

• Detailed look at the anatomy and physiology and some pathology of the Endocrine system and the Reproductive system

• Understanding the reproductive cycle

• The relevant health issues affecting women and those affecting men - both physically and psychologically

• Nutritional issues

• Balancing the endocrine system on the feet

• Balancing the meridians, chi points and tsubo points on the feet and hands

• The differences between working with a woman a) trying to conceive, b) going through assisted conception, c) who is pregnant through the three trimesters d) at the end of the pregnancy

• Professional responsibilities and working with other health care practitioners / when to refer and why.
