Holistic Foot Care including Pedicure Techniques
Date: Saturday & Sunday 17th/18th January 2026
Time: 9.30 - 4.30
Cost: £280
Deposit: £100
Assessment date: 14th February

This course is aimed at those who are looking for more than a standard beauty-based Pedicure qualification. Once you have done the online theory modules and attended the two day practical – you will receive a GTi Pedicure qualification in addition to the West Shires certificate in Holistic Foot Care. You do not have to have any previous qualifications, but you may be a Reflexologist or Massage therapist and be looking to add a confident foot care treatment to further help your clients.
The online part of the course is offered by The Beauty Guild – a well known and respected accreditor of many courses, and you will be able to obtain insurance via The Guild. First you will complete their Professional Standards course – for which you receive a separate certificate – for no extra charge and then you go on to complete 6 modules covering the Anatomy and Physiology of the feet, contraindications and areas where you need to be careful when treating the feet; you also cover preparation and techniques and treatment adaptations and aftercare.
When you come for the Practical element of the course we are taking things in a more Holistic direction and so adding several elements to the training that will enable you to offer a reassuring and relaxing experience for the client who is having trouble with their feet, or just feel that they need looking after a bit better than the client feels they are able to.
The practical element of the course covers how to start with a pampering foot bath followed by the nail cutting and removal of hard skin – which is what you need the Pedicure qualification for – and also care of the skin and nails and how to recognise any problems, as well as how to tailor a treatment specifically for the individual client. Although applying nail polish to the nails is covered in the theory aspect of the course – it will not be covered within the two day practical training. You will learn how to do a full and effective lower leg and foot massage.
On the second afternoon of the course we will bring in some clients for you to practice a full Holistic Foot Care routine and this will form your assessment.

By the end of this course you will be able to:
-
Prepare for a holistic pedicure
-
Identify contraindications
-
Learn how you can incorporate this treatment into your current therapy offerings
-
Conduct a relaxing grounding foot bath
-
Remove hard skin
-
Full massage on lower leg and feet
