QCF Level 3 Diploma in Massage

 Level 3 Diploma in Massage   - due to slow booking of this course we have decided to run the Level 3 Sports Massage instead in 2017. This offers a different set of units, but will qualify you to work as a standard massage therapist with the extra skills included on the  Level 3 Sports Massage    If you especially require the Body Massage qualification - please get in touch with us. 

 

This Level 3 Diploma in Massage offers a very well rounded qualification in all the holistic massage techniques you will need

to become one of the very best therapists of this modality.  We have one the countries major experts to teach this qualification and so you can be assured of a quality training. 

We only take a maximum of 8 students on this course, so you will be assured of individual attention. 

 

The aim of this unit is to provide the learner with the knowledge 

and skills to carry out body massage treatments and to operate 

as a professional practitioner 

The skills developed by the learner include communication 

skills, organisation skills, the ability to work unsupervised, how 

to adapt techniques according to the situation, the ability to plan 

and promote services and advise on aftercare 

The knowledge acquired by the learner will enable them to 

understand how the related body systems work, the effect body 

massage treatments can have on each of these systems and 

the theory behind each of the techniques performed.

 

Prequisites for the this course are: 

  • Recognised qualification in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology

  • Core Units Principles and Practice of Complementary Therapies and Business Practice for Complementary Therapists   

The above units can be completed concurrently with your massage studies

 

The course will include the following aspects: 

Consultation

Treatment Planning

Health and Safety

The treatment room and environmental conditions

Treatment specifics - contraindications, mediums used and why, conditions treated, body types and common postural faults

Detailed study of the skeletal and muscular systems

History of Massage

Classical massage movements and possible physiological and psychological effects

Adapatation to the individual according to such things as age, disability, gender, cultural and presenting conditions.

Gareth is a fully qualified sports massage therapist and lecturer in Complementary Therapies. He has trained and taught at the London School of Sports Massage as well as Lowestoft College and Coleg Sir Gar. Gareth is without doubt one of the best Massage and Anatomy and Physiology tutors this country has. 

 

His courses and workshops utilise 20 years of practical experience and ensure that you learn in a fun environment and get all your questions answered

£1,000 Deposit  £300  

 

If you have already done the Reflexology and /or Aromatherapy Courses with us and now wish to add the Massage Diploma the fee is £800 - deposit £200
